SRH VS CSK: A WINNING START ON THE COMEBACK OF “CAPTAIN COOL”, THANKS TO RUTURAJ AND MUKESH

Yesterday, the stage was set for the return of Captain Cool as Ravindra Jadeja decided to step down as the captain of CSK. The whole stadium erupted as “Mahi” “Mahi” during the toss while Mahendra Singh Dhoni came up being the CSK Captain again. On the other hand, SRH is having a good season and this match was very crucial for the Super Kings. And How well they have responded!

Having asked for batting first, they posted a mammoth total of 202 runs for 2 wickets only. Ruturaj Gaikwad was the star of the show due to his splendid score of 99 runs from just 57 balls. He smashed 6 fours and 6 huge sixes while he developed a record opening partnership of 182 runs with the Kiwi, Devon Conway (85* runs in 55 balls). Despite coming at the number 3 position, MS Dhoni did not have a great evening as he managed to score only 8 runs from 7 balls (1 boundary included). SRH started their innings steadily and both the openers managed to score 58 runs in just 5.5 overs. However, some quick wickets halted their progression and they failed to revive from that. Nicholas Pooran was the highest scorer for them by scoring a quickfire 64* runs from 33 balls including 3 boundaries and 6 over boundaries. They managed to reach up to 189 runs and thus, CSK beat them by 13 runs margin. Ruturaj Gaikwad was adjusted as the man of the Match for his scintillating knock while Mukesh Choudhary picked up 4/46 for CSK.

A huge two points for CSK to keep their hopes alive for the playoffs. The return of Captain Mahi worked wonders again for the yellow brigade as they outclassed the Hyderabad side in all three departments. A Vintage CSK Show under Captain Mahi…as always!
