Team India Captain Rohit Sharma continues his impressive start to his captaincy stint as India thrashed Sri Lanka on their home soil by 3-0. This result was not much of a surprise for Team India fans as Lankan players have failed miserably through these 3 matches. Despite resting some key players like Virat Kohli, Rishav Pant and losing some players through injuries, the Young guns of Team India showcased their talent. Records galore after this crushing win as India’s winning streak stretched up to 12 matches, equaling the world record previously held by Afghanistan and Romania.

Rohit Sharma has also equalled the record of whitewashing series (5 series) along with the most home wins in T2O Internationals (17 wins in 18 matches). Shreyas Iyer has been adjusted as the Man of the Series (and 2 MOMs) for his blistering form with the bat. He scored 204* runs in these three matches and he was not out in every innings. It is also considered as the most runs scored by a player in 3-match T2O series as previously, this record was held by Virat Kohli (199 runs Vs Australia, 2016).
