5-time IPL Champion, Mumbai Indians also noticed his talent and they spent Rs 3 crore to bring him to the franchise. This young player is also known by the name of “ Baby ABD” due to his fearless brand of cricket. His gameplay style and shot-making abilities are quite similar to Mr. 360. Till now, he has impressed fans by scoring some quick runs like 29 off 19 against KKR, 49 off 25 balls against PBKS and 31 off 13 balls against Lucknow Super Giants. He also bagged the wicket of Virat Kohli with his first delivery in IPL. Due to such impressive performances, several reports are suggesting that Dewald Brevis is likely to be a part of Proteas’ squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Speaking to ICC, Brevis has stated:

“I think I was born with a passion to play cricket and a love for the game, and I really want to make a difference with cricket. In my era growing up, everyone knows AB de Villiers, he’s been such a role model for me from a very young age”
