Manchester United’s season gets more derailed as their Noisy Neighbours, Manchester City defeats them by 4 - 1 at the Etihad Stadium. It was a perfect match for the Blues as it gave them a six-point lead over the second-placed Liverpool for now (though Liverpool has played a fewer game from them). Both Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez grabbed a brace each while Jadon Sancho got a goal for United against his former club. Before the kick-off, it was quite shocking that players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw missed today’s match for injuries and Covid reasons. Hence, United found it very tough to cope with the City’s pressure from the start itself.

It took just 5 mins for Manchester City to open the scoresheet as De Bruyne tapped in a beautiful ball from Bernardo Silva. United, somehow, managed to make a comeback, thanks to an individual brilliance from Jadon Sancho in the 22nd minute. Then, De Bruyne strikes again in the 28th minute and after that, United was totally miserable throughout the match. Riyad Mahrez also joined the party as he scored a beautiful brace (68’ minute and 90’ minute) for his team to give more reasons to the City fans for the celebration. His hot form continues as his overall goal-tally goes past 20 in all competitions. What a Volley that was from Mahrez…Top-Notch!!
